An article about established laws in India and compliance checklists for shops is presented in this article. To stay up to date with the legal nuances of the Shops Act, every business organization with a Shops Act license must fulfill these compliance requirements.

Importance of Statutory Compliance:
- A company’s compliance is associated with many factors. A company’s reputation is at risk if it fails to comply with the TDS, for instance. Potential employees may even not join the company because the current employees start to doubt the efficiency of the company.
- In order to ensure equal treatment for all employees, statutory compliance is a necessity. There are a lot of laws and rules that contribute to this equality. There are many different factors involved in determining wages and how many hours different workers work. A clear path to avoiding this is provided by statutory compliance.
- Tax payments are clearly outlined due to statutory compliance. Taxpayers will have an easier time paying tax on a timely basis and tax collectors will have an easier time collecting their due tax.
- Customer loyalty is severely undermined if statutory compliance is not maintained. A poor statutory compliance structure not only makes employees doubt the organization, but also makes customers reluctant to work with it.
- Keeping statutory compliance is also important to avoid financial losses. A non-compliance penalty or fine can lead to financial losses for an organization. As a result, cash flow can be disrupted to a great extent.
Conclusion:
A comprehensive list of compliances does leave us with many questions and ambiguities, however. The question is, how are you maintaining records for relatively newer genres of organizations, such as IT/home-based freelancing businesses and BPOs?How would you prefer to do it? Would you rather use software or manual methods?? Are you exempt from the labour department if you are performing software maintenance? What are the reasons for that? In this way, compliance is often both necessary and complicated.
