GSTN introduced Einvoice1 GST applicability through the trial e-Invoice1 login portal. The first batch of registrants (taxpayers with a turnover over INR 500 crores) were onboarded using this Portal. Taxpayers were asked to report bugs and issues encountered when using the Portal. Once teething issues were resolved, the final version of the website was released.
The trial e-Invoice Portal should not be used for generating e-invoices. It is only for testing purposes.
▪ The GST e-Invoice Portal
As a result of testing the trial Portal for multiple use cases and considering suggestions from taxpayers, the final version of the e-invoice was introduced at GST Portal www.einvoice1.gst.gov.in. GSTN is onboarding taxpayers through this Portal as and when it is able to scale up. At the present, GST e-invoice login and registration have been enabled for taxpayers with a turnover of between INR 50 and 100 crores.
Additionally, if e-Invoicing is not enabled for a Taxpayer, the Taxpayer may manually register for e-Invoicing on the Portal by selecting ‘Registration’ then ‘e-Invoice Enablement’ on einvoice1 gst gov in

To An API Sandbox Portal has been set up by GSTN to facilitate seamless integration between the e-Invoice Portal and the Taxpayers’ ERP. Using this Portal, the Taxpayers’ developers and system integrators can obtain information and guidance while integrating e-Invoicing processes with their ERP.The GSTN has set up a separate API Sandbox Portal to facilitate seamless integration between its e-Invoice Portal and its Taxpayers’ ERP systems. As part of the integration of the e-Invoicing system’s processes with the Taxpayers’ ERP system, this Portal was created to provide information and guidance to developers and system integrators of the Taxpayers.
Legislation
Portal users can access the GST Rules through the ‘Laws’ section, which redirects them to the CBIC website, which contains the GST Rules. It also contains the latest GST notifications related to e-invoicing.

Two manuals are included in User Manuals.
- Detailed instructions are included for registering, generating invoices, generating MIS reports, managing users, registering APIs, etc., in the Web System manual.
- You can generate bulk invoices and cancel bulk IRNs using the Offline tool described in the manual for Bulk Generation System.
